Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 August 2026
These terms apply to firearm storage services provided by Secure Storage NSW (operating under storage and dealer licence 413101740, held by Lockguard Solutions Pty Ltd, in conjunction with Safari Firearms, dealer licence 405578863) ("we", "us"). By booking storage with us you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
- We accept only firearms that are registered and lawfully owned by the holder of a current NSW firearms licence, or firearms lawfully held within a deceased estate under the appropriate authority.
- We will verify your licence and each firearm's registration before accepting it into storage. We may refuse any firearm at our discretion, including anything prohibited, unregistered, or subject to a surrender, seizure or forfeiture requirement.
- Storage with us does not alter your legal obligations. If the law requires an action of you, storage is not a substitute for it.
2. Fees and payment
- Storage: $100 per firearm per year, billed annually in advance and renewing automatically each year until cancelled.
- Booking fee: $100 one-off, covering up to 5 firearms.
- Home pickup (optional): $200 flat, available Sydney-wide. Outside Sydney, contact us to arrange.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel renewal at any time before your renewal date by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Cancelling storage requires collecting your firearms (or lawfully transferring them). Firearms cannot remain in storage without an active paid storage arrangement.
3. Unpaid fees and recovery of costs
If your storage fees remain unpaid for more than 3 months after their due date, and you have not responded to our written notices to your nominated contact details, you authorise us to sell your stored firearms through our licensed dealer to recover unpaid storage fees and reasonable costs of sale.
Any such sale will be conducted lawfully through a licensed firearms dealer in accordance with the Firearms Act 1996 (NSW) and, where applicable, the Uncollected Goods Act 1995 (NSW). Any surplus proceeds after recovery of fees and costs will be returned to you.
4. Intake, storage and return
- Drop-off is at Safari Firearms, 146 Stoney Creek Rd, Bexley NSW 2207, Tuesday to Saturday, no appointment needed.
- Each firearm is condition-checked, photographed, tagged and entered in our register on intake, and verified item-by-item on return.
- Firearms are stored unloaded, separately from ammunition, in facilities meeting or exceeding the safe-keeping requirements of the Firearms Act 1996 (NSW).
- Firearms are released only to you on presentation of your current licence, or to your written nominee holding lawful authority to possess them. We may require reasonable notice for collection.
- If your licence expires, is suspended or is revoked during storage, tell us promptly. Your firearms remain lawfully held on our dealer licence while you resolve it, but return to you can only occur once you again hold lawful authority.
5. Insurance and liability
- Stored firearms are covered by our insurance for the duration of paid storage. Cover details are provided at intake.
- To the extent permitted by law, our liability for loss or damage is limited to the insured value of the affected item(s). Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. General
- We may update these terms; the version in force when you book (or renew) applies to that period.
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
- Questions or cancellations: bookings@securestoragensw.com.au or 0414 127 684.
